Welcome

William “Bill” Geddes

Peacefully following a brief illness on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at St. Michael’s Hospital at the age of 71. Loving husband & best friend to Christine for 50 years. Proud dad to Stephen (Julie), Bill Jr. (Jacqui), Dennis (Karen). Loving grandpa to Dawn, William, Alexander, Alec, Drew, Ewan and Haydn. Predeceased by brother Leonard (Norma). Brother-in-law of Kay & Nev and their family in the U.S.A. Much loved by his cousins Alec (Margot) Gourley and May (Dave) McGregor. Bill attended Queen Victoria Military School in Dunblane, Scotland from 1945 to 1951 (school #2314). He was also a passionate golfer and a proud owner of a Steel Construction company, Ged-Ven for over 20 years. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all those whom he touched with his laugh, enthusiasm and big heart. Bill would never want family and friends to mourn his death or shed tears, but rather celebrate his life, which he enjoyed to the fullest. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm & 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church at 11am. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the MS Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society. A special thank-you to Dr. Preston & Brenda and the CVICU staff at St. Michael’s Hospital. Messages of Condolence may be placed at www.RidleyFuneralHome.com.
