Stanley Hare

Passed away on April 20, 2009, just 20 days after his beloved wife Alice, who pre-deceased him on April 1, 2009. Stanley is lovingly remembered by his daughter Sharon Stabb, son-in-law Gordon, and grand-daughters Lindsay and Katharine of Calgary; his dear brother -in-law and wife, Clifton and Betty Lou Digby of Mississauga; and his nieces and nephews. Stanley served his country in the RCAF during World War II, with postings in Brandon, Summerside, and Goose Bay. He married Alice in 1949, and was a devoted husband to her for nearly 60 years. He was a dear father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed. Many thanks to the staff at the McCall Centre, and to friends and neighbours at Lake Promenade. A memorial service celebrating the lives of Alice and Stanley Hare will be held this Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 1:30 pm at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. West, Toronto (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705).
