Sophie (Josefa) Tomitsch

February 9, 1919 – February 10, 2007. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sophie in the arms of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family on the day after her 88th birthday at the McCall Centre. Loving wife of the late Arnold. Dear mother of Helen and Eileen (Greg Taylor). Proud Oma of Adam, Jill, Blake, Emily and Sarah. Dear daughter of the late Magdalena Hutter. Beloved sister of the late Frank Hutter (Mary), and John Hutter (Hildegard). Fondly remembered by numerous family and friends. Born in Hinterberg, Austria, Sophie was a very devoted mother, passionate gardener and amazing cook with a dry sense of humour. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, (5440 Durie Road in Mississauga), on Tuesday, February 13 at 10 a.m. Interment at Assumption Cemetery.
