Raymond Gordon

Peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 09, 2009 at Trillium Hospital, Mississauga. Beloved husband of Mary Lipiec for 29 years. Pre-deceased by his mother Elizabeth, aunts and uncles in Falkirk, Sterlingshire, Scotland, and son-in-law Mitch Mullins. He will be sadly missed by his family Henry (Sandra) Mazurkiewicz, Cynthia Mazurkiewich, and Jody Mullins. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Sean (Amanda), Alison, Jaclyn (Blake), and Kevin. Born in 1927, in Shieldhill, Scotland, Ray imigrated to Canada aboard the Saxonia in June 1956. Ray proudly worked for 34 years for the Municipal Service to Metro Toronto and in retirement enjoyed the company of the members of Branch 101 of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ray's love for life, family, song and Scotland will be fondly remembered by all those blessed to know him. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Wednesday, August 12 from 7-9pm & on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday at 11am.
