Beloved husband and best friend of over 56 years to Elsie (nee Mudry). Loving father of Karen Whale (Mike), and Kim. Adoring grandfather (&#8220;Gigi&#8221;) of Jenn Casuccio (Paul), Nicki and Jeff Whale, Tarron, Kristin, Thomas and Robert Gaziuk. Proud great-grandfather of Nolan Casuccio. Dear brother of Anne Hartwell (John), brother-in-law of Terry Mudry and Anne Mudry. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mary and John, and his parents-in-law Mary and Eugene Mudry. His gentle spirit, loving heart and wonderful sense of humour will be deeply missed by his devoted family and friends. A special thank you to St. Joseph&#8217;s Health Centre, I.C.U. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Thursday April 2, 2009 from 3 to 5 pm and 6:30 to 9pm. Panakhyda (prayer service) at 8pm. The Orthodox Rite of Funeral will take place Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Demetrius Orthodox Church (3338 Lakeshore Blvd West). Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Demetrius Ukrainian Orthodox Church or Sleeping Children Around the World.
