Mirko is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nevenka. He was the proud and loving father of his late son, Miroslav (Miro) Cemas, and his late daughter, Alexsandra (Sandy) Cemas. In Canada, Miroslav is survived by his brother Alozija Cemas, sister-in-law Nada Cemas, cousin Joseph Benac, godson Nick Cvetas, and their families. Goddaughter Cathy Vankesteren and her husband John. He is survived by many nephews and nieces in his native Slovenia. Family and friends will fondly remember Mirko and his wonderful spirit. Peace be with you, Mirko, from all of us. The family will receive visitors at Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W, Toronto 416-259-3705 on Saturday, October 18 from 7 to 9 pm and on Sunday, October 19 from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 10am at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, (739 Browns Line, Toronto). Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Mississauga. Memorial donations may be made to the Sandy Cemas Scholarship Fund or to Dom Lipa.
