June 12, 2008) It is with deep sadness that the family of May Costello announce her passing at Lakeshore Lodge at the age of 80 years. Left to mourn her loss are her seven children: Donald (Terry), Mac (Brenda), Geraldine (Rob), Bernice (Dave), Gary, William Jr. (Bunny) and Wayne, as well as, sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Deanie, in Newfoundland. May was predeceased in 1995 by her husband, Bill. May enjoyed many wonderful years as a Registered Practical Nurse and upon her retirement, she and her son, Wayne, began a 20 year involvement with Toronto Skyline Scout Troop 207, a special group for intellectually challenged individuals. May was held in high esteem by all who met her because of her friendly, helpful and caring nature. No matter what May was involved in, she demonstrated pride, enthusiasm, dedication, compassion, honesty and a keen sense of humour. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday, June 15 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, June 16 at 2 p.m. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Lakeshore Lodge who assisted them in caring for their Mother.
