Cherished Grandmother of Ken, Daniel (Rosie) Wright Vancouver B.C. Tom Wright Toronto Ont. Scott (Rosanna) Sim, Barrie Ont. Mark (Kelly) Sim Niagara Falls Ont. Jason (Tina) Wannamaker Keswick Ont. Kimberlea Wright, St. John's Nfld, Edward and James Wright ,Ottawa Ont. Levi Jr and Jaclyn Snook Paris Ont. Very special &quot;GG&quot; Great Grandmother of Jacob, Avery and Cassidy Wannamaker. Marissa and Bradley Sim, Raena Wright-Bennett, and Zoe Wright. Loving sister of Monte Marler, Gibsons B.C.,Diana Dyer, Comox B.C. and Dorothy Kirby Davidson predeceased (May 2005). Josephine was born and raised in Vancouver. At the age of six she began her education at Crofton House Private school for girls. After graduation her father died and she helped her mother at home with her younger siblings. During this time she was involved with the Red Cross. At age 24, she married the &quot;Love of her Life&quot; a pilot with the R.C.A.F. They had 63 wonderful years together. She kept busy raising her family and always being involved with her church. Since the age of fifteen until January of this year she has given unselfishly of her time to her Cub Pack. She is known fondly to countless numbers of boys all across Canada as Raksha ( the mother wolf) In April of 2007, Jo received the Silver Acorn for her 75 years of dedicated service.from the Boy Scouts of Canada. In February 2007 she also received the Crofton House School Alumnae Achievement Award called a &quot;Women of Wisdom). This past March she was named a recipient for the Governor General's Canadian Caring Award. Working with her cubs has been her lifetime passion. She is also known for her remarkable memory never forgetting a family or friend's birthday or anniversary with a card or a phone call. She will be missed by all her friends. Jo lived a long and useful life that demonstrates a commitment to service. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Jim. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at St. Matthew's Anglican Church (3962 Bloor St. W. Islington) on Saturday, June 14th 2008 at 2pm. Donations to Scouts Canada GTC, 265 Yorkland Blvd, Toronto Ont.
