Lillian May Walker (nee Robb)

Born August 31, 1922 in Osgoode, just outside of Ottawa. Affectionately known as “Lil”, she moved to Toronto to work for the Metropolitan Daycare Centre for Children. There she met her husband, and they created their own nursery of seven children. Her personality will forever be remembered, when she reminised about days gone by at our countless family gatherings here and at her cottage in Fenelon Falls (her favourite place). Mom is now re-united with her eight brothers and sisters (last of the Robb clan, Aberdeen, Scotland), her husband Roy Norton Walker and their youngest son Matthew Robb Walker “Our Big Matt” (August 2007). Fondly remembered by her children Allyson (Randy), Andrew, Robin, Mike (Maryanne) and Edrey (Rob). 13 grandchildren will miss their “Nanny”. In her own way, she strongly held the family together, and in return sharing and caring became our goal. For those who shared her life and cared for her, we remain together always. A Memorial Gathering will be held at The Ridley Funeral Home (3080 Lake Shore Blvd W. Btwn Kipling & Islington Aves., at 14th Street) on Friday, October 5, 2007 from 7 to 9 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
