Laura Eileen Garbutt

Passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, after a brief illness, in her 79th year. Loving wife of the late Donald, mother of Anne Marie Leonard, Donald Garbutt, Rosemary Bennett and Laurie Garbutt, and devoted “Grandma” to several grandchildren. We will always remember her talents as a church organist, pianist, painter, teacher, her wicked wit and her penchant for practical jokes. Our hearfelt thanks to Dr. K. Bury, Dr. D. Swartz, Joan, and the wonderful staff and volunteers at Perram House. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Monday, November 19, 6-9 p.m. Funeral service on Tuesday, November 20, 11 a.m. at Mimico Presbyterian Church, 119 Mimico Ave. (corner of Royal York Rd. and Mimico Ave).
