John Wilms

Passed away on Sunday, January 27th, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer, determined and a fighter to the end. He was born in Knowlton, Quebec on March 13, 1962. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Linda Fry, daughter Katrina (Jeff), grandson Kurtis, and his brother Allan (Laurie), his nephews Shawn and Kyle, Aida, Stefan, Mabel, Cathy, Sheila, Carol, Donna, Allan and other nieces and nephews. He started working in his father's Hobby Shop as a numismatic at the age of 16, selling coins, etc. He then moved to Toronto at the age of 20 where he learned to run press at his brother-in-law's (Allan) print shop. He worked hard all his short life, learning all he could about the printing industry, and later went into partnership with Allan. Two or three years later, he took over full ownership of Graphic-Print+Copies Inc. John made several business acquaintances throughout the years, and many became friends. He will long be remembered by his many friends and clients. Especially his buddies Greg, Tony, Perry, Brian, Fred, Ruebin and Don. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Sunday from 10 to 11 am. Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel at 11 am. Messages of condolence may be placed at www.RidleyFuneralHome.com In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the Cancer Society or to the Christian Children's Fund of Canada (1200 Denison St., Markham, ON L3R 8G6), since we have fostered a child in this organization for many years.
“John will be missed but not forgotten.”
