John (Janez) Blas

John was born June 26, 1940 in Sentjanz, Slovenija. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 19th, 2007. Devoted husband to Anna (Anica). Loving Dad to John Jr. (Natasha), Diana, Robert (Joanne), and William. Dearest Grandpa and Dedek to Jordan, Renata, Luca, and Maja. He is survived by his brothers Frank, Stan, Ludvik, Marjan, Drago, and Joze. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. & Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church on Thursday, August 23rd, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment Assumption Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Princess Margaret Hospital and York Central Hospital would be appreciated.
