Hans G. Heinrich
Peacefully on February 27, 2008 after a determined
and lengthy fight against Amiodarone-induced pulmonary
fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension: Hans’death
was hastened by complications following ankle
surgery. Predeceased by his devoted first wife,
Margaret, Hans was the beloved husband of Elizabeth
and valued brother-in-law to Bill and Louise,
Bethany and Mark and Pat and Colin, and affectionate
uncle to Stephen, Matthew, Megan, Heather, Geoff
and to Peter and his son Thomas in Austria. Hans’
sense of fun and indomitable spirit will be greatly
missed by his family and many friends. Especial
thanks to Dr. Peter Hopkins and Lynn, Dr. John
Granton (TGH), Marie O’Shea and colleagues
at St. Elizabeth Nurses, Dorothy Ginther, Diane
and colleagues at Credit Valley Rehab, Henry Lin
(COTA) and Drs. Eisen, Jovanovic, Pataki and Perkins
and ICU nursing staff at Credit Valley Hospital.
A celebration of Hans’ life will be held
at Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd.
