Elizabeth “Betty” Sawdy

Peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family at 11am on Wednesday September 12, 2007. Betty is survived by her loving children Donna (Edward Carlson), Raymond (Norine Chin), and Ronald. Grandma of Tracy, Ian, Samara, Sierra, and Melanie. Great Grandma of Katie and Robyn. Betty was an active and dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 101; a Lifetime member and Past President of the Army Navy Air Force Club 262. Betty was also a proud veteran of WWII in the RCAF. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Saturday September 15, 2007 from 2pm to 4pm. A Celebration of life will take place at 7pm in the Chapel. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, and the Canadian Centre for Abuse Awareness. A very special thanks is to the Nurses and Staff of the Woodhall Park Retirement Village for the wonderful care of our mother. Betty lived life to the absolute fullest and will be missed by all her family and friends.
