Derek James Thomson

On August 24, 2009, Derek in his 30th year, peacefully in his sleep with the love of his life Candace at his side. Derek loved his life and lived everyday with passion. Loving son of Sandy & Randy, step-son of John and Debbie. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Scott and Jeff. He is survived by his grandfather Ken and Godparents Arlene and Bruce. Derek is missed by his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel on Saturday at 3 p.m. A private family cremation will be held at a later date.
