Daisy Beatrice Shields (nee LeVear)

(Member of St. Paul’s United Church, previously a member of St. James Presbyterian Church) Peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in her 84th year. Dearly beloved wife of 54 years to Tom. Loving mother of Tom and his wife, Rosemary and Elizabeth and her fiancé, William. Cherished Nana to Jessica and Bobby. Also survived by many other family and friends. Daisy had many interests, among them knitting, bowling and baking. She was truly a compassionate soul and would use her talents to help those in need or donate money from bake sales to sponsor children with World Vision. Her kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness is going to be greatly missed. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lake Shore Blvd. W. (between Islington and Kipling Aves., at 14th St., 416-259-3705) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at St. Paul’s United Church, 85 Thirty First St. Cremation to follow.
